Late August, Early September

Where did this summer go?

Time flies when you're having fun--and here at Ertel Publishing, we have had a LOT of fun (and work!) over the past few months. Quite honestly, we don't even know where to start in our summation of the season. However, we suggest that you check out the most recent issues of Antique Power, Vintage Truck, and Patriots of the American Revolution magazines to get an idea of what we've been up to.

In other news: our Vintage Truck show this August was a blast. If you missed it, shame on you! It was a beautiful day filled with great trucks, great music, and great people. Mark your calendars now: the next show will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2011. Incidentally, this will be our show's 10th anniversary. We promise to deliver some special surprises, so make sure to plan ahead and attend!

Finally, Ertel Publishing has branched out into the educational publishing field again. We are currently in the middle of a big history project, and have learned some interesting facts about World War I and the Jazz Age in the process. Did you know that, in 1918, the "Star-Spangled Banner" was sung for the first time before a baseball game? It's true. The Boston Red Sox arranged the performance to honor World War I vets in the stands.

That's all for now!
